eClinic is a modern clinic for hair transplants, centrally located in the Netherlands, which performs hair transplants using the FUE method. With a hair transplant, hair is moved from one place to another. To move the hair it is necessary to shave the hair very short. Sometimes it is possible to do a hair transplant without shaving the hair!

The free consultation

To determine whether you are suitable for a hair transplant, you will receive a free consultation at eClinic. During the consultation you are introduced to the physician treating you personally and therefore not to a consultant. The doctor discusses all possibilities with the client and examines whether he / she is suitable for a hair transplant. We always look at the personal situation and then examine the skin and hair to determine the cause of baldness. eClinic stands for open and personal contact with clients. We attach great importance to providing clear information about the treatment and we find it important that clients leave the clinic with a satisfied feeling.

The treatment day

On the treatment day, you will be able to leave your car on our private property for the entire day free of charge. Ideally it is preferable that someone is available to pick you up on this day. Your partner/companion can also stay in our clinic as we have a private room for our customers. Your partner can work there through free WiFi or go shopping in Laren. When you arrive at the clinic, the doctor will go over someĀ  last things with you, after which you will be taken to the private room. Here you can change clothes and the final preparations are made before we take you to the treatment room. Here you can choose what music you prefer. Then the treatment will start. If it is a major treatment, we will provide a lunch for you and your partner midway. After the treatment you will receive some final instructions from your doctor and you can return home. We are available for you 24/7 after the treatment. And you will receive an agreement for three checkups from us to monitor your recovery.

The hair transplant

With a hair transplant, hair is moved from the permanent donor area to the place where you want it. Crown, temples, hairline, scar or eyebrow are some examples that can be treated with the help of a hair transplant. The entire treatment is also performed by the doctor at eClinic. This is by no means the case with all clinics. So you don’t see all kinds of different people. This makes our treatments personal and professional.

The FUE method

We use the FUE method for the various hair transplants that we perform. There is also another method that we do not use at eClinic, namely the FUT method. The FUE method is the technique whereby we remove the hair one by one. Removing the hair in this way for the transplant will not result in a large scar. Other advantages of using the FUE technique are that clients experience less pain, there is less blood loss and the recovery is much faster than with the FUT method. With the FUT technique, a strip of skin with hair is removed, creating a linear scar.

The permanent donor area

With eClinic, hair is only removed from a very specific donor area, the permanent zone, and then placed back in the area to be treated. The permanent zone is the area where the hair is more resistant to loss. This is between the ears on the back of the head. It is important to transplant only hair from the permanent zone, because when donor hair from outside this zone is used for the transplant, this hair that is more susceptible to loss will be moved. The result may therefore disappear in the longer term. The quality and density of the donor area, the permanent zone, therefore also determines whether or not a hair transplant is eligible. The doctor assesses this during the free consultation.

The shaving

Shaving is an important part of a hair transplant. It is important that the hair is as short as possible for this treatment. This has to do with the way of removing the hair. We use an instrument with a very small hole for this. If we then want the hair then we have to use this instrument around the hair. When this hair is too long, it takes a long time to wriggle that hair into this instrument. So; the shorter the better!

Hair transplants without shaving

This is what we call a line-shave in the hair transplant world. For women or men with longer hair, we can fold the hair up on the back of the head and shave a portion. From this we remove the necessary hair for the hair transplant. This is of course done at random: for example, we remove an x number from the 10 hairs. After the treatment you fold the long hair over the shaved part and nobody sees anything. A limited number of hairs can of course be taken from this area. Ideal for scars, eyebrows and small temples.

Recovery of the donor area

Immediately after the treatment, a part of the donor area is the shaved area with small spots where the hair is removed from the transplanted area, for example crown, temple, eyebrow or scar.
Now it needs time to recover. Not only the small wounds must close again, but the hair, which has remained standing, must also grow longer. This takes around four days. Just think of a beard that grows again after shaving. After a day or four, you will have longer hair in the donor area, which will camouflage the now recovering wounds.

Hair transplants are personal

The doctor discusses all possibilities with the client and examines whether he / she is suitable for a hair transplant. We always look at the personal situation and then examine the skin and hair to determine the cause of baldness.

Transparent and personal
